Dylan
Krishna “Dylan” Mahalingam is the young, energetic founder of Lil’ MDGs. He was born and raised in New Hampshire, USA, where he resides with his parents, his elder sister Ammu (when she’s home from college), and his chocolate Labrador Nestlé. Dylan’s interests range far and wide, from tennis, basketball, snowboarding, and swimming to math and science to a variety of musical instruments including piano, saxophone, guitar, an Indian drum called a mrdanga, and traditional Indian hand cymbals called kartals. But perhaps most of all, Dylan loves to share his passion for public health and improving quality of life worldwide, and has traveled extensively in the US and internationally for speaking engagements to help spread the message of Lil’ MDGs. He is a youth speaker for the United Nations, and is also a panelist and presenter for the United Nations Global Forum on ICT & Development. Pooja
Pooja is one of the co-founders of Lil' MDGs. She was born and raised in Maryland, USA, where she resides with her parents. She heads the Stitched with Love and Stuffed with Hugs programs and coordinates community events and workshops, throughout the USA, through the numerous outreach programs Lil' MDGs has created for youth. The Stitched with Love program engages groups to come together to knit or stitch comfort dolls to be distributed to disadvantaged children, such as children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. The Stuffed with Hugs program brings groups together to make a stuffed animal to be donated to benefit disadvantaged children. Pooja also assists with making effective strategies to have a regular and sustained presence in the social media sites. Pooja has a deep love for children and her interests also range far and wide from soccer, swimming, dancing, fashion, and design.
Tiffany
Tiffany is the main Social Media Coordinator of Lil' MDGs. She manages the different social media platforms, updating about Lil' MDGs through Twitter, Facebook, and by blogging. Through these, people can follow Lil’ MDGs’ events and workshops, and as well, just see what’s happening and explore interesting MDG activity from around the globe. Taking advantage of this new and upcoming technology, social media, allows Lil’ MDGs to reach youth and have an even greater, constant connection with its volunteers. Raised In Hooksett, NH, Tiffany is an avid fan of new technology and its potential benefits for helping non-profits. As well, she loves to dance, sing, and play the flute and piano.
Nina
Nina is 7 years old and is one of the youngest leaders of Lil' MDGs. She helps Pooja with the Stuffed with Hugs program. Nina heads the Time to Clay program and hosts pottery workshops in pottery to provide an avenue for young children to come with their families to paint pottery to donate to soup kitchens and low-income nutrition programs. Nina co-leads the "Wish Upon a Crane" campaign with Agastya to mobilize kids to fold paper cranes to benefit the quake victims in Japan. Nina's accomplishment doesn't end there; Nina is excellent at drawing, loves skiing, skating, playing the piano, and playing with her friends.
Agastya
Agastya is 6 years old and joined the Lil' MDGs team in 2011; he is the youngest leader at Lil' MDGs. Agastya co-leads the "Wish Upon a Crane" campaign with Nina to inspire kids to fold paper cranes to raise funds toward rebuilding a school in Japan. Agastya loves reading, skiing, playing outside with his friends, building legos and bionicles, and is quick to help anyone in need. His life examples teaches other kids to follow their dreams, no matter how great!
